I enjoy making effects for my action figures. My latest project is a repulsor beam for Marvel Legends Iron Man that sits on the palm of his hand. I decided to use the artwork from the comic, Iron Man (2012) #2 as the inspiration for my effect.
I decided to make both a red version of the effect and a blue one.
You could even use the same techniques to make an unibeam effect that is launched from Iron Man’s chest. You’ll just need to use a stand to support the effect since it won’t be able to hook on Iron Man’s finger like the repulsor beam.
The easiest way to show you how to make this action figure effect yourself, is with a video and you can watch mine on my YouTube channel here:
This project is fairly simple to make, but you will need to allow time for the paint layers to dry.
The materials I used for this diy action figure project are:
-Clear Drinking Straw (grab a couple of clear ones the next time you get some fast food!)

-Glue sticks. I use all purpose sticks so I can use them in both my regular and low temperature glue guns: http://amzn.to/2p5ySVI (Amazon affiliate link)

More Action Figure Effects & Crafting Projects:
In some of the above photos, I also used effects from a few of my previous projects to accompany the Iron Man Repulsor Beam. These other projects include a Taskmaster Energy Shield, Invisible Woman Force Field (also works as a Doctor Doom magic shield!), and the red end piece from a Cyclops Optic Blast effect.
