(New in Marvel Unlimited 1/29/18)
Marvel Comic Snippets: A weekly series where I highlight the interesting and amusing bits from new comics released into the Marvel Unlimited App. Instead of spending hours of reading, you only need ten minutes.
Way back in Marvel Comic Snippets #6, I was amused by the feathered alternate dimension version of Devil Dinosaur. Well, it seems like our more well known red Devil Dinosaur is not as impressed with feathered Devil Dinosaur…I’m just going to call him Fevil Dinosaur for short.
I guess it is understandable that the two Tyrannosaurs Rex would break into a skirmish. As many, many comics have shown us, even super heroes fight each other on a regular basis. At least the two versions of Moon Girl will get the dinosaurs straightened out.
Oh. Well, never mind then. Even Moon Girl…Moon Girls…have started battling. We later learn that the alternate dimension team go by the names of Devil Girl and Moon Dinosaur. Devil Girl is quite a name, but for her partner I still prefer Fevil.
In another reality, we learn what happens when you smoosh together a man, a spirit of vengeance, and a symbiote.
It is possible that Robbie Reyes had worse days than the one when he got possessed…for the second time. Possible, but not likely.
It seems that this version of Robbie has no control over the actions of the Spirit of Vengeance and the Venom symbiote. Robbie is outnumbered by two entities with far larger appetites than his own. That would be a scary combination to try to control.
Host Rider?!? Seriously? That is just combining the word Host with Ghost Rider (or dropping the “G”). As a completely original person who would never combine anything silly like feather and Devil to come up with Fevil, I can safely mock this name. Oh wait. Umm…I guess I will shut up for now then.
(5 seconds later) Still, you have to admit that Host Rider sounds like someone serving appetizers on a Segway. You know, I would actually like to see that.
That’s it. If an action figure of Host Rider ever gets made, I’m making him a Segway. I already have a little platter of food for him to hold.
Elsewhere in the galaxy, Peter Quill is monologuing his adventure and annoying his companions in the process.
Ha, “Kirking.” I have never watched Star Trek, but I am just going to pretend I get that joke.
And there’s nothing about Drax that doesn’t make me happy. Except maybe the new “peaceful” Drax in another Guardians of the Galaxy series currently getting new issues added to it on Marvel Unlimited.
This manic version of Drax is more fun. It pleases him to be dying soon in horrible agony with his enemies!
